My name has changed to Forest. I debated with myself if It is Rabbithole worthy, and after searching the feelings and thoughts around the matter i feel it is important for me to highlight this announcement on the Forum.
It is a name given to me by my teacher and spirit guide Char Sundust 9 months ago. I have been meaning to inject this name into action but had not found the right time to bring it forward. Ironically, it was in Washington D.C. this last week lobbying on Capital Hill for the Ascension of Naturopathic medicine and methodology to be recognized on a federal level, where naturopaths can be apart of the new health care reform and that we can have our loans repayed by the federal government by participating as primary care physicians for the American Indian tribes in federal loan repayment programs, that I felt called to change my birth name to Forest.
9 months ago I had the realization that I needed to change my name from the birth name given to me, to a new name that symbolizes a coming of age, a Choice that is made through my life experiences and not the experiences and choices of my parents. If I ever raise children, i would suggest to them that when they feel ready, they change their name to what they feel is in line with their life passions and directions.
